I've tried quite a few delay products over time, and I've realized that I don't really use them for the exact same reason every time.
Sometimes I want something for a planned night. Sometimes I just want something I can use without thinking too much about it. So instead of ranking these purely by strength, here's how I'd rank them based on the situations where I'd actually choose them.
| Rank | Product | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ejaguard | Regular use and planned nights |
| 2 | Steady Freddy | When you want a simple option |
| 3 | AH | When you want something more specific |
| 4 | Trojan | When you want an established mainstream brand |
| 5 | Dynamo | When you want a stronger option |
1. Ejaguard — Best overall for regular use
This is probably the one I'd reach for most often.
The effect feels fairly manageable for me, so I don't feel like I have to plan everything around it. I also like that I can adjust the amount depending on the situation instead of always getting a very strong effect.
For me, it's the easiest one to keep in my normal routine.
2. Steady Freddy — Best simple option
Steady Freddy is one I'd consider when I don't want to overthink things.
It's fairly straightforward and doesn't feel like something that requires a whole routine around it. I wouldn't necessarily pick it for every situation, but it's a decent option when I just want something simple.
3. AH — Best for a more specific routine
I'd put AH a little lower because I think it's more of a product where you need to figure out whether its particular format and routine work for you.
Once you know what works, though, it can make sense as part of a regular setup.
Not my first choice, but definitely not a bad one.
4. Trojan — Best mainstream choice
Trojan is probably the easiest brand for someone to recognize.
If someone doesn't want to spend ages researching different delay products, going with a well-known mainstream brand is understandable.
The downside for me is that I personally prefer having a bit more flexibility with how much effect I get.
5. Dynamo — Best if you specifically want a stronger effect
Dynamo would be further down my list for everyday use, but I can see why someone would choose it if they're specifically looking for a stronger option.
For me, stronger isn't automatically better, so I wouldn't reach for it unless that was actually what I was looking for.
My overall ranking
-
Ejaguard — regular use
-
Steady Freddy — simple option
-
AH — specific routine
-
Trojan — mainstream choice
-
Dynamo — stronger option
I think this is probably a more useful way to compare delay sprays anyway.
There isn't really one product that's “best” for everyone. What makes sense depends a lot on why you're using it and what kind of situation you're using it in.
